What Does A Chiropractor Do?

A chiropractor is a specialised healthcare professional with a MChiro qualification gained after five years of university training. They are trained to diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including issues stemming from discs, joints, muscles, ligaments, and body nerves.

Chiropractors use various techniques to restore normal joint motion and proper alignment to the injured area, thus enabling the body to heal and recover. These techniques can include spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription, and lifestyle advice. The focus of chiropractic treatment is to alleviate pain, improve function, and enhance the body’s natural ability to heal. Chiropractors work closely with their patients to develop personalised treatment plans that may also include ongoing maintenance and preventative care. Overall, chiropractors play a vital role in promoting overall health and well-being by addressing musculoskeletal issues and helping patients achieve optimal physical function.
