At Head 2 Toe Chiropractic, a custom made orthotic is prescribed by our practitioners
using TOG gait scan technology to design an insole to fit your foot perfectly and
restore the natural function of the feet. Many common complaints such as heel pain, knee
pain, and lower back pain are caused by poor foot biomechanics. The most common form of poor biomechanics that we see here at Head 2 Toe Chiropractic is over pronation, or fallen arches, causing the ankles and feet to roll inwards.

A custom made orthotic will address this over pronation and can help reduce or eliminate many common complaints such as sacroiliac joint pain, hip, knee, ankle or foot pain.

Why Choose A Custom Made Orthotic?

Custom made orthotics are specialised to YOU and you only! They will address your complaint and will provide the support and or cushioning you may require. Custom made orthotics work in the following ways:

  • Improve alignment of the foot and lower limb reducing ankle, knee and hip pain
  • Reduce the build-up of corns and callus on the feet
  • Reduce shock absorption on the sole of your foot and are ideal for relieving tired legs for those on their feet all day, those participating in sports and daily walks or runs
  • Support and relieve pressure from muscles, tendons and the small joints in the feet by distributing weight evenly throughout the foot

Conditions Treated by Orthotics Include:

  • Fallen Arches/Flat Feet
  • High Arches
  • Heel Spurs
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Bunions
  • Hammer Toes
  • Diabetes

At Head 2 Toe Chiropractic

We use TOG gait scan technology to determine what type of orthotic you will require. We scan the feet on special plates with thousands of tiny sensors which will capture the distribution of pressure in the sole of your foot with each step you take. The best part is the results are instant as the scan will come up on the screen giving a visual representation of the high or low pressure areas in your feet.
